The site is now built and open for use.
In addition to the basics (about the book, who the authors are, etc), I’ve made a start on adding content, mostly some of the listings information contained in the book itself. Time consuming copying and pasting from Word tables, that’s for sure.
So to kick off, we have a list of podcatchers and podcast directories. We’ll be adding (and maybe substracting) from such lists as the site develops in the coming weeks.
One thing I’m keen to include in this site that isn’t really covered in the book is our personal take on the podcasts we listen to. Maybe a critique that, while inevitably subjective, will focus on podcast production and communication effectiveness in line with what we say about such things in the book.
But that’s in the future.
Meanwhile, please enjoy this embryonic site. Let us know if you have any comments or suggestions.

Site looks good! Now if Canada Post would just deliver my copy of the book!
I love the idea of a Web site with updated listings, reviews, etc.

We have work to do in getting all the content we want up here. It’s a labour of love, though

It might be contained in the book already, but a short, printable ‘Podcasting - Top Tips’ area on here, for those who have read the book and want to start their own podcasts, might serve as a useful ‘pocket reminder’ later on (with links back to the relevant chapters in the book for more details).
As you suggested, your personal take on the podcasts you listen to would also be great. Good luck with the “labour of love” - and I hope the love comes right back at ya with a whole heap of new fans. Sam.

Posted 18 Jun 2007 at 1:17 pm ¶That’s a great suggestion re video, Jonathan, thanks. Expect to see something here soon.
Top tips, Sam, great idea. On the to-do list.
Thanks, Terry. Do give us some critiques from your reading, maybe an ‘Inside PR Book Review’?
